Memory Way is establishing the International Family Assistance Center (IFAC) in Kyiv as a dedicated humanitarian hub for families searching for answers about loved ones who are missing in action.
The IFAC is designed to serve as a single, trusted point of contact for families facing overwhelming challenges, including language barriers, distance, unfamiliar legal systems, and fragmented information during wartime.
Through the IFAC, families will be able to access coordinated assistance, including:
- Case intake and ongoing family supportCase coordination and advocacy with relevant Ukrainian institutions
- Certified translation and documentation assistance
- Legal guidance and referrals related to next-of-kin processes
- Support related to recovery, identification, repatriation, and memorialization when applicable
- Coordination with embassies, consulates, and international stakeholders
The Center represents a long-term commitment to humanitarian accountability and family support, recognizing that the burden of missing persons extends far beyond the end of active conflict.
